Black Fuse is back with their 3rd full-length record “MOVEMENT”.  This time the duo went through quite a few changes both musically and personally.  Both Caleb and David moved their houses and studios to new locations, while Caleb stayed local to Milwaukee, David relocated to Nashville TN.  That sense of urgency and change led to some unique music and experiences.  Half of “MOVEMENT” was recorded in an old silo tower in the northern peninsula of Wisconsin away from distraction and civilization while both David and Caleb were in the process of tearing down their studios.  You can hear the unique spacious tone of that tower in many of the songs.  For the first time there are multiple guest vocalists lending their talent to the mix.  Rappers Donney Junior & Andale’ bring a fierce energy to tracks like “Maverick” while singer/songwriter Daniel Olsson brings his melodic sensibility to the same song.  The overall feeling of this project can be summed up in the name of the albums closing track “Into That Good Night” taken from the 1947 Dylan Thomas poem, “Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”  Black Fuse isn’t done, and this record is a testament to the fact that change and the ending of an era have only made their artistic output that much more potent and intentional.  “MOVEMENT” is the musical representation of the journey Black Fuse has been on the past couple years and what’s to come.
